Each and every Brownstone book keeps getting better. Can only recommend this one and every one book.
Judith I'm begging you please read or reread Michael's books there is two things youll find in common to 90% of them, bad guys don't carry over. Also he doesn't ramp up the danger in each book, something that Hollywood and publishing houses always feel the need to do. however it always destroys the series be it tv or books. the Si-Fi channel always did this and now they don't put out there own content. Why because everyone stopped watching because it got too unbelievable. MTV's Teenwolf did the same thing and went by the wayside. While your books haven't done the 2nd yet, you carry your bad guys from book to book to book. Nothing really gets resolved. Alison has her company thus people to protect that will give you tons of bad guys and plotlines. You have no need to keep the dark families alive, none. If the others involved in this Uni. feel they need them Alison can at least beat them so badly that they leave her alone, letting you move on to a viable plotline for each book which can end in each book. No need to keep carrying the Families at all. Doing so just forces you to add filler crap to keep the series going. IE. the first 5 books of SoNM. Now this one isn't anywhere near that bad granted, but there's still no need for it. Please put the Dark Families to bed and use the more viable plotlines her company can create. There is so much potential in this Uni. but going back to the same well over and over is killing that potential.
Alison has survived the meeting of the two men in her world. James and Mason have almost a civil agreement....protective father meets adoring suitor with grudging respect for each. Yet I wonder if Brownstone and Whispy Doom will get involved in the future struggles with the Dark Wizards...That would be some story. A good read.
Congratulations to Judith Berens, Michael Anderle and Martha Carr for this amazing series. It’s hard to stop and take a break. It’s extremely hard to find such interesting and exciting authors who not only write intelligently but also provide top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories.
Another book in the series that further rounds out the characters, brings in a new team member and throws in new plot twists. Has all the action / violence / bad assery one would expect based on previous books. Eagerly awaiting the next book.
