The Little Critter books are great at covering different aspects of young childhood. This one is about getting the kid into bed. My children liked it, but perhaps my husband and I liked it even more. The youngin' doesn't want to take a bath because he is busy being a general, doesn't want to put on his pajamas because he is being something else, and once in his pajamas doesn't want to get in his bed. His parents are calm and patient and the book reflects the realities of a child and the people who love him.
My son loves this book. We read several little critter books every night and always end with this book. We can totally relate to the book about little critter not wanting to go to bed! My son thinks it’s a funny book and pretty much memorized the whole book. The book is not too long and doesn’t bore my son. We definitely recommend this book!
My grandson enjoyed reading Just Go to Bed Little Critter book. He can't wait to find out what happens at the end of the story. I would recommend these books to other friends and family members with children who enjoys reading, and the desire with exceling in reading.
Love this book, because my daughter thinks im SO Mean at bedtime. This is fun because she can now see another kid, not listening, but from outside of the box. So Im thinking she at least understands its not just ME that requires a bedtime. Great book that I loved as a kid too.
We like the Mercer Mayer books. I read them to my son when he was young, so I got this one for him to read to his sons, the ones who do not want to go to bed. This book is cute and well done.
Perfect for three year old. It is now part of his bed time routine. The only complaint I have with the plot is after the bath time page the baby eats. I have to edit it to say "it's time to get your towel on." Because we don't eat after night bathing. Cutesy and seems to help my boy remember you have to get ready for bed and go to bed when told.
My sons read Little Critter books when they were small. They are grown now and passing their love of this adorable character to their children. I highly recomment the Little Critter books. I think Mercer Mayer is a brilliant children's book author. I gave my six year old granddaughter some of the books for her birthday in September and I found the adorable stuffed Little Critter. It is adorable!
the illustrations are fun, funny and adorable. The story is great for both parents and children. this is one of my granddaughter's new favorite nighttime stories.
