This was an immediate 1-Click Buy for me, the synopsis alone made me crazy for this book.I LOVE Stalker Books, and this is one of my Top Favorites for sure.I fell in love with the Stalker as soon as I finished the first sentence, don’t ask me why. LolI was expecting it to be ‘Super’ Dark which I would’ve seriously enjoyed, but it wasn’t and that didn’t bother me at all and I just loved everything about this book!There is an HEA, don’t worry! This was the first book I've read from these authors. I've read a lot of MM books, but not many "dark" romance, and was intrigued by the blurb for this book. I wanted to like this story, but just kept getting stuck on inconsistencies in the story.SPOILER ALERT - you've been warned...Thomas realizes he's being stalked; someone has broken into his house multiple times, once while he's sleeping, is sending him photos of himself... He's apparently so freaked out by this that he's not sleeping and is jumpy, even around his friends. But, he doesn't call the police? This didn't make any sense to me.It's mentioned early in the book that Thomas bought his house, and that Mason lives in an apartment, but a bit later Mason tells a friend to sneak out the back door when Thomas comes over. I tried to give this a pass since there could be apartments out there somewhere that have back doors, but then Thomas moves in with Mason at the end of the story and we find out he was only renting his house? It may seem like a small thing, but authors should pay attention to these kinds of details.I thought giving the stalker a "voice" in the story was an interesting choice, and made the stalking element very creepy. However, when we find out who the stalker is it didn't make any sense. The stalker is written like a stereotypical stalker who is obsessed with the object of his desire, with escalation of his actions from just watching, to interactions. His thoughts are all about how he wants to possess Thomas, and so on. But, when we find out that M is the stalker, his thoughts about Thomas don't match up with the "unknown". It's seriously like two different people.Also, I don't understand what the point was of killing Thomas' girlfriend. He had enough pictures of her cheating with other guys to convince Thomas to dump her, but he doesn't send the picture until right before he goes to kill her? There doesn't seem to be any tipping point for this action.And, why would Thomas be totally okay with M being a murderer?I really wanted to like this book, but the actions of the characters just don't make any sense in relation to what they say.
Yes. This is just what I needed. I was in a bad book slump. Reading daily helps me and I hadn’t read in weeks. Started a few books and put them down. Nothing was catching me. Until this book. Last night I thought I’d give In Plain Sight a go. I read half of it and woke up this morning and read the other half. I needed to read more. I needed to see how the story was gonna play out.Great praise to Ally Michelle on an outstanding read. You sucked me right in. From start to finish my brain was thinking forward and not getting anywhere. I didn’t see that twist coming at all. If I could give this book more stars I would. The story is told through multiple points of view which I loved. Great characters.I love mm reads and this is one of my favourite. Can’t wait to read more from Ally Michelle.
A dark and twisted story that will have you on the edge of your seat the entire ride.These ladies brought out the suspense out completely. You will be left guessing who “Unknown†is the entire time.Thomas, one of our heroes in the story. Explores not only his new sexuality, but flourishes even with a shadow lurking in every corner.Mason, our other hero. The best friend, always there, always second best. He finally takes charge of his feelings and goes for it.And when they do, OHH EMM GEE!! Fireworks! Some scenes should come with a warning, because I was left a panting, squirming mess!This story has it all. Suspense, love, friendships, some major WTF just happened moments, and we cannot forget the steamy factor. Cannot go wrong with MM tale!
This was unlike anything I’ve ever read before and I loved it! A thrilling ride that keeps you guessing until the very end! Thomas is a man with a stalker. He feels himself being watched but isn’t truly sure it’s not in his head. He is also struggling with his sexuality as he finds his long time best friend has feelings for him. Will we find out the truth before it’s to late? Told in multiple POV; this was my first MM reads and I truly enjoyed it.
I'm not sure where to begin with this one since it was so good!!! I love books that keep you on your toes trying to figure out who the unknown person is. Every time I think I might have this story figured out we were thrown a twist. This was my first time reading one of Ally Michelle books and I will be reading more. The characters had a great development and this story was different then any other I have read.
There is nothing like love, obsession, and a little light stalking on the side. I've been waiting awhile to get my hands on this story. It didn't disappoint. I loved the stalker aspect and the long time relationship Thomas had with his best friend, Mason. I also loved the secondary characters' roles in the lives of the main characters. They were placed there for filler. They moved parts of the story forward.
I've been waiting on In Plain Sight since before Christmas, a dark stalker MM book? YES!We get to read from Thomas, Mason and the Unknown's POV.Throughout the story, I was trying to find out who Unknown was. And, halfway into the story, I got my suspicions!In Plain Sight, is a 'short', fast-paced story and hot AF! Not sure how I feel about the ending though.
