This book is a short tutorial in C# that an experienced programmer (in other languages) could work through in a few hours. I don't think it explains things well enough for a beginner "introduction to programming", but it has more explanation than needed for a "language in a nutshell" reference. So it might be a nice handbook for a teacher to use in the classroom as lecture notes, at a much lower cost than professionally-published textbooks. The book is apparently a one-person effort and suffers from a lot of typos. Also, it seems it was designed as an e-book and ported over sloppily, with text like "click here" appearing on the pages, and pages too small to fit the code samples. I'm giving it 3 stars to balance out some of the existing reviews which are obviously fakes, or maybe are posted by the author's parents. This is a simple and adequate introduction the language, but could be much improved.

Thought I had learn some basics before now but lack of simple guide and practice has limited by proficiency in the use of this awesome programming language. The step by step approach to solving programming task is so awesome. I highly recommend this C# guide to every aspiring C# programmer. Recommended.
This is a great book for anyone just starting to learn C#. It covers the basics and avoids a lot of complication. Does not go into forms but gives you plenty to start having fun with console applications, writing classes, overloading, inheritance, interfaces, abstract classes, some simple file operations, etc. The author knows how to write in a style that is interesting and enjoyable.
I have read a few C# fundamental books as I feel that you can get little different tricks from each one but this was the only one which I found to really explain the concepts well and lay a good foundation. The examples were very practical and the extra information on Linq and file handling was very helpful. I really enjoyed working through this book.
